I rarely do this.
I usually give out great reviews. I'm easy to please.
But this one is god awful, at least with the single glitch that renders all efforts useless on some levels.
On any level with boxes, I have some trouble anyway. My computer is laggy. (Quality control would be nice.)
Positioning boxes is difficult since lag kicks in at the worst time. So I have to pull it back.
But then, the damnedest thing happens. I get sucked inside of the box if I hold space and forward in too long. And it wasn't just one level. Tapping it can prevent the black hole from activating. So I can manage.
But again, the lag kicks in at the worst time. So even if I hold space and tap forward very quickly, the chance of surviving is 50%.
But it's not the game itself that sucks, not at all.,
I played, and completed, Altshift on Mochi.
It was a fantastic remake, and remakes and reboots always tend to bring out the worst in me. I am a gamer after all, albeit a generally more casual one. (I have been known to thoroughly rape console RPGs, though.)
Getting a good rating on a redo, at least from me, magnifies the rating tenfold.
So it was an absolutely lovely game.
The glitch I'm experiencing has more or less murdered it, it seems.
In fact, the five is only the runoff of the locked version. (Yeah, locked got higher than open. Crazy shit, mirite?)
GLITCH MAKE GOOD GAME SUCK DICK.
I tried my hardest to make some, but they just wouldn't work. :<
Or my favorite non-existent combo:
Though I can't write something so true...
I do completely agree with Nint-O-Man.
It confused me at first, I had to go through several times to understand.
And even though I still don't understand completely, I do understand the idea behind it.
This is a great game, though it's only a game by the loosest definition.
This kind of "game" always make me feel changed.
And for the better.
After completion, I find myself to be a more enlightened man.
I thank you for that.
A little hint.
If you can't beat the Shadow thing, get the dash and hardiness abilities.
Just keep smashing the left and right keys.
When you hit the wall, you have invulnerability, and the hardiness will take less time to recover from the collision.
And since you can't get hurt, just dash through it.
It takes a while to beat it this way, but it's really easy too.
Great game, by the way.
I love games like Achievement Unlocked and Upgrade Complete.
I also love RPGs and platformers.
On top of that, I love pixeled games.
They look better, somehow.
Another great game.
I was playing this last night, and I felt that it was familiar.
I couldn't figure out why, but when I scrolled down, I saw who the author was.
Another great game from Ed.
I've never played one of your games that I didn't enjoy.
The ideas are great, the art is amazing, and the gameplay is fantastic.
If you ever make something that isn't perfect, the apocalypse would be upon us.
The gameplay was too simple, but the animation and execution were amazing.
It reminds me of games like Nevermore, and Menulis.
Which I really enjoyed playing, just like this.
Great game. End of story.
It was a great game, one of the best I've played for a while.
Well, besides anything from Edmund.
At the end, it was all feel-good.
And then the little penguin slammed face-first into that glacier.
Killed the mood in a perfect way. <3
